Internal CRM system for an IT company

00

About project

IT companies often use multiple disconnected tools: task trackers, calendars, messengers, and HR systems. This fragmentation leads to context switching, lack of transparency, and inefficient communication between teams. The goal of this project was to design a single internal CRM system that would unite project management, task tracking, corporate events, internal communication, and HR information in one workspace.

Product Goals

  • Create a unified workspace for employees and managers

  • Increase transparency of projects and task statuses

  • Simplify internal communication

  • Reduce dependency on multiple external tools

Users & Roles

  • Employees — work with tasks, projects, and company events

  • Project Managers — manage projects, tasks, statuses, and teams

  • HR / Admins — manage vacations, activities, and internal content

UX Approach

  1. Modular architecture — each feature works independently while staying connected

  2. Unified navigation for quick access to tasks, projects, and events

  3. High transparency — users can always understand:

    • what they are working on,

    • project statuses,

    • what is currently happening in the company

  4. Focus on everyday scenarios:

    “What do I have today?”, “What tasks are in progress?”, “What’s the status of my project?”

Outcome

The result is a scalable CRM design that:

  • consolidates key workflows of an IT company into one product;

  • simplifies project and task management;

  • improves internal communication and employee engagement;

  • can grow together with the company and its teams.
