About project

Astra Home is an online furniture and home goods store built on a WordPress theme with WooCommerce integration. The goal was to launch a functional and visually clean e-commerce platform with clear product categorization, filtering, and a seamless checkout experience. I adapted and customized the theme structure to align with business goals, improved usability across key user flows, and coordinated the technical implementation. The project focused on balancing speed of development with a professional and conversion-oriented shopping experience.

Project Process

  1. Theme Customization & UX Adaptation

    • Selection and configuration of a suitable WordPress theme

    • Customization of layouts for homepage, catalog, and product pages

    • Adjustments in UI hierarchy to improve readability and product visibility

  2. E-Commerce Structure Setup

    • WooCommerce configuration

    • Product category structuring

    • Filter logic setup (price, type, attributes)

    • Cart and checkout flow optimization

The screen displays the homepage of an online store specializing in designer furniture, featuring a curated product catalog, clear navigation, and a visually clean layout focused on showcasing premium home interiors.

  1.  UI Improvements

    • Refinement of product cards and CTA placement

    • Improved typography and spacing

    • Visual consistency across pages

The screen shows the product catalog page, where users can browse designer furniture organized by categories, apply filters, and explore items through structured product cards with pricing and key details.

  1. Mobile Optimization

    • Responsive layout adjustments

    • Touch-friendly controls

    • Improved mobile checkout flow

5. Performance & Technical Adjustments

  • Plugin configuration

  • Basic speed optimization

  • Testing of core flows (catalog → product → cart → checkout)

The screen presents a product detail page featuring a designer furniture item, including high-quality images, pricing, specifications, and a clear call-to-action for adding the product to the cart.

Outcome

The result was a fully functional WordPress-based online store with structured navigation, improved usability, and a ready-to-scale e-commerce foundation.
